b. Injuries from falls can make it hard for a person to get around and do everyday activities or live on their own.

c. Falls can cause broken bones, like wrist, arm and hip fractures

d. Falls can cause head injuries. These can be very serious, especially if the person is taking certain medications like blood thinners. If a person falls and hits her/ his head they should see their doctor right away to make sure that they do not have a concussion or a brain injury.
